Frequently Asked Questions
How ROOTSMEN plans, designs, develops, produces and coordinates branded product programmes.
Planning
How can ROOTSMEN help if we only have an idea or artwork?+
We can turn an initial idea, artwork, reference product or campaign brief into a product direction. The first stage aligns audience, function, target cost, quantity, timing and the product range before detailed development begins.
What do you need from us to start a project?+
Send what you have: an idea, artwork, reference images or a physical sample. Product category, estimated quantity, target launch or delivery date and any market or compliance requirements help us define the most useful first response.
Can ROOTSMEN help define the right product range for a campaign?+
Yes. We can translate the audience, use case, target cost, quantity and launch date into a focused range instead of treating every requested item as a separate order.
What information helps you quote accurately?+
Product type, dimensions, construction, material preference, artwork, quantity per colour, packaging, target market and required delivery date produce the most useful quotation.
Can we start before every specification is decided?+
Yes. Send the information you have. We can identify the missing decisions, propose a development path and confirm which details are needed before sampling or quotation.
Design
What parts of a product can ROOTSMEN design and customise?+
Structure, dimensions, compartment layout, materials, colours, hardware, logo application and packaging can all be developed around the brief. The exact scope is agreed before sampling so design decisions remain connected to cost and production.
Can you develop from a reference sample rather than finished artwork?+
Yes. A reference sample can establish scale, construction and function. We then document what should be retained, changed or redesigned before quotation and sampling.
Do you provide technical drawings and physical samples?+
The development route can include product drawings, material and colour selections, logo placement guidance, development samples and a pre-production sample, according to the agreed scope.
Program Management
How does ROOTSMEN manage a multi-item programme?+
One programme lead coordinates specification, quotation, sampling, supplier follow-up, approvals and launch timing. This gives the buyer one accountable contact even when specialist production partners are involved.
Can one programme include bags, packaging and supporting accessories?+
Yes. A coordinated programme may combine core soft goods with sourced components, packaging and specialist merchandise while keeping one specification and approval schedule.
Licensed / IP
Can ROOTSMEN develop licensed or IP merchandise?+
Yes. We work from the approved brand or character guideline, adapt artwork to each product, control colour and logo execution, and manage identifiable approval samples across a coordinated range.
Supply Chain
Can ROOTSMEN coordinate products outside its core manufacturing categories?+
Yes. Core bags and soft goods can be combined with selected headwear, accessories, packaging and specialist merchandise through qualified production partners, with ROOTSMEN coordinating specification, sampling, quality requirements and consolidation.
How do you control quality when a specialist supplier is involved?+
ROOTSMEN keeps the brief, specification, approval samples and quality requirements connected, then coordinates supplier follow-up, inspection requirements and consolidation.
Manufacturing
Which products are made in ROOTSMEN's own factory?+
Sampling and production for core bags, pouches, travel organizers and related soft goods run in our own factory in Guangdong. Products outside that scope are identified as partner-produced rather than presented as in-house manufacturing.
What is the difference between core manufacturing and partner production?+
Core manufacturing refers to the bags and related soft goods produced in ROOTSMEN's own factory. Partner production extends the range through qualified specialists and is identified separately.
Quality
How is quality controlled during production?+
Quality is managed through sample review, material and colour confirmation, PPS approval, in-line checks, final inspection and packaging verification. AQL inspection can be arranged where the programme requires it.
What is a pre-production sample and why is it required?+
A pre-production sample is made with the intended bulk materials and approved construction. It becomes the signed reference for bulk production and final inspection.
Can AQL inspection be arranged?+
Yes. The inspection level and acceptance criteria are agreed with the buyer before production so the sampling plan is appropriate for the programme.
Compliance
Does using RPET mean the finished product is GRS certified?+
No. RPET is a material. Certification scope belongs to the certified organization, process or material lot and must be verified against the exact programme before a claim is made.
Can you provide certification documents for buyer review?+
Relevant certificate details can be shared during an active enquiry. Availability, holder, scope and validity are confirmed against the exact factory, material or programme involved.
